Everything You Need To Know About Barcode Reader
Barcode Reader technology has come a long way in recent years. There are now a number of different types of readers available on the market, each with its own set of benefits and drawbacks.
What should I know about this?
The most common type of reader is the laser scanner. Laser scanners work by shining a beam of light on the barcode and then reading the reflection off of the surface. These scanners are very fast and accurate, making them ideal for high-volume scanning applications. However, they can be expensive, and they’re not well suited for reading barcodes that are printed on curved surfaces.
Another type of reader is the CCD (charge-coupled device) scanner. CCD scanners work by passing an electrical current through the Barcode Reader’s sensor array. This current creates a voltage gradient that is proportional to the amount of light that hits each sensor. CCD scanners are less expensive than laser scanners, but they’re not as fast or accurate.
